A: Yes, we offer both full restaurant buyouts and semi-private event options for a variety of group sizes and event styles.
Q: What is the cost to rent Joyce for a buyout?
A: We do not charge a room rental fee. Instead, we require a food and beverage minimum, which varies based on the day, time, and season. These minimums are based on the revenue we would typically generate during that service.
Q: What’s the maximum capacity of the restaurant?
A:
• Bar: 10 seated | up to 40 standing
• Main Dining Room: 70 seated | up to 100 standing
• Patio: 20 seated | up to 25 standing
• Full Restaurant Buyout: 100 seated | up to 150 standing
Q: What kind of events have you hosted?
A: We’ve hosted a wide range of events, including birthdays, graduations, reunions, corporate dinners, company parties, wedding rehearsals, engagement dinners, brand activations, and fundraisers.
Q: Is there parking available?
A: Yes, there is a paid parking structure located directly across the street from the restaurant. We do not recommend parking in the Whole Foods lot. For private events, we can also assist with coordinating valet service upon request.
Q: What is the capacity for group dining?
A: We are a great option for group dining in Downtown Los Angeles.
• Parties of 16 or fewer may order off the regular menu or select a prix fixe menu in advance
• Parties of 17–35 require a prix fixe menu
• Larger groups are considered private events and can be customized accordingly
Q: Does Joyce have a private dining room?
A: We do not have a fully enclosed private dining room; however, we offer several semi-private options within our space. Our main dining room can be partitioned to accommodate more intimate gatherings, making it ideal for business dinners and celebrations.
Our patio is another great option, offering a more secluded setting. It is enclosed with overhead coverage, front-facing privacy and weather shades, and is equipped with heaters for comfort.
Q: Does Joyce offer patio events?
A: Yes, we regularly host events on our patio, which is ideal for semi-private gatherings and smaller group experiences.
Q: Does Joyce offer catering?
A: Yes, we offer both drop-off catering and full-service catering throughout Los Angeles. For full-service events, we typically conduct a site visit to assess your space and determine any additional needs such as rentals, staffing, and equipment.
